anything from maxing fishing and culinary?

I think someone told me for fishing maxed u get a minion pet? a kind of turtle I believe im sure there is something

xD idk if there are other things you get tho. like I k now some of the outfits for tailors at high lvl just look really good etc. Perhaps there are titles involved too, idk @___@ I just know I saw the turtle in a screenie once and someone told me :P

I think the Turtle minion is a very low chance catch from an area in La Noscea.

I would imagine that Culinarian allows you to make some pretty decent stat-boosts later in the game.

And you can always turn in HQ fish for seals. Alchemy, culinarian and some other classes require fish too.

Oh, forgot culinarian.

Culinarians make foods (obviously). Different types of foods give different stat buffs, and all foods give a 3% buff to XP earned. As you get toward end-game, food becomes really, really helpful when you're trying to get every point of benefit against dungeons and primals, or crafting and gathering. And since it's a consumable -- meaning that you use it one time and it goes away in 30 minutes -- there's always a market for it.

You can sell every fish you catch for gil to NPCs. You can also sell some fish on the Auction House, especially those used in cooking and alchemy.

But generally, fishing is its own diversion from the game. Just a relaxing way to spend some time. You get achievements and records for catching larger and larger fish, and different types of fish in different areas. You get grades for each area that you fish in, and there are legendary fish that you can catch. You can try to find every fishing hole in the game, and catch every fish from every fishing hole in the game. All of that is tracked in your fishing log.

And yes, there is a minion turtle that you can catch. You can either keep the minion yourself or sell it or give it to others.
