    Suggestion for THM/BLM development

So I thought of this a while back and posted it in another thread, but wanted to know what the community thought of it. The idea came to me as a response to other users' thoughts that BLM as a Job didn't feel like it added enough to the THM class. That the Abilities it grants don't fulfill the idea of specializing the THM to fill a DPS role, but instead add support to the Class. Ergo, I recommend the following:

    I) Exchange the Abilities granted by BLM at levels 35, 40, and 45 for Blizzard III, Fire III, and Thunder III, respectively.

-- This would restrict the highest-tier damage spells to the BLM, as well as the increased DPS brought about by the Blizzard III --> Fire III transition and it's exchange of UI3/AF3.

-- Future THM-based Jobs would thus have to choose between Ultimate Destructive Power(tm) and their own Job Abilities. Again, Class = Diversity/Utility, Job = Specialization.

-- As there are no changes to the spells themselves, existing level 50 BLMs would see no change.

II) Modify Thunder II to follow the pattern of Blizzard/Fire (I is the basic single-target damage spell of medium potency, II is a lower-potency AoE, and III is a high-potency single-target spell with a higher cast time) by swapping the current Potencies and Durations of Thunder I and Thunder II, but causing Thunder II to apply a DoT which pulses a 5 yalm AoE instead of just the single target DoT it currently possesses.

-- Would mean Thunder I would continue to be relevant once Thunder II is obtained.

-- Would not affect existing Thundercloud mechanics.

Again, just wanted to know what people thought of this idea.
