Various questions for a beginner

I've been playing for a week now and I have various questions to ask

1 - Is it possible to disengage an enemy? If the enemy is Aggressive, will it follow you forever?

2 - How do you easily find a party member. Yesterday i joined a party that wasn't in my current location and didn't know how to find them. I Know there is the location of player in the "Social tab" by it is still too wide. Isn't there an optioni to get the X Y position of a party member or icon on the map?

3 - How do you use the /assist command?? I tried things but it doesn't work at all ^_^

4 - Do you have exemple of good macros to use while being in a party, for example :

Run away from the enemy - it will give up chasing you. Use your sprint too.

Party members show up on the map as icons but only if they are in the same zone as you are in. If not then you will have to speak to them and agree where you should all be heading for.

3 - How do you use the /assist command?? I tried things but it doesn't work at all ^_^

Target the party member then /assist - you will hit their target with your actions.

4 - Do you have exemple of good macros to use while being in a party

This is a list of some pretty good macros. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/67805...eborn/66598934 - macros vary so much based upon class so may be an idea to search for "ffxiv macro <class>" and your favourite search engine will deliver the results (hopefully)

I am still learning myself, the best way I would suggest is to join a friendly and helpful Free Company who state they will help out new players.

Also, a quick way to tell if a party member is not in your zone, their health and MP bar on the group panel will be empty and their level will read "???"
