    Hackers

    Hello everyone

I don't know if I'm posting this thread in the correct section, but I just want to point out 2 hackers I saw.

    1 -

    2 -

    3 -

    4 -

    5 -

    6 -

The above ss are for player Mathyed Newton, from Gilgamesh server.

    1 -

    2 -

These 2 ss are for player Olyvers White. In 1 second he was in the position he was in ss 1, the other second he teleported to the position in ss 2.

Both this players were using teleport to go from mining potential place to mining potential place. They never ran, just teleported.

Please take a look at this.

    Thanks in advance

Sadly SE are not interested in clamping down on this now. It seems they are waiting for the economy to implode before suspending these people.

Just for the sake of it, I'm posting 1 more I found in Gilgamesh, his name is Ruyoyo Ruyo.

This one is clever, uses stealth while hacking.

There are scores, maybe hundreds of these botters on Phoenix alone, and on all other servers I have no doubt. SE have failed pitifully to deal with them and prevent their spread. RMT and 'legit' players are botting gathering, cloth and leather farming, etc. with impunity.

welcome to SE. They ban people on these forums far more and faster than actual ingame offenders.

    This company is amazing

They are probably linking each of these botters/teleporters to their mules and patsies and will mass ban them. Problem is the web of RMT is large and you will never eliminate all of them, but you can hit them where it hurts by tracking each character to linked accounts. It will happen. I remember their first huge ban hammer wave in FFXI. If you go in and ban individually, it gets harder to trace where the gil is being distributed. When you break one teleporter it only takes out that account and then you have to research the account to see what it has done. Whereas you can track it and monitor its behavior as it interacts with more of its 'friends' dragging more down in the process. Think of it like it like NARCS. They aren't going to arrest the one lowbie drug dealer. They are trying to get deeper to find the source.

    They aren't linked accounts.

They are doing this off of compromised hacked accounts.

The real problem is that the client is susceptible to memory injections, and until that is fixed no amount of bans will help.

I don't mean linked as in service accounts, but the RMT use at least a few different accounts for each action. This is why you have a miner, a starter character doing your shouts and most likely a mule to hold money and mined mats. You also will need a lvl 20 DoW or DoM in order to use the market. They may be simply vendoring everything which is still feasible when you can set it to autopilot and work for 24/7. You would be a fool to have one character doing all three or even two of the above. It's easier to replace a specific character and their associated task as opposed to losing one character that did all the mining, shouting and gil trading. And it's not all hacked accounts. Some yes, but not all.

Not even. I've read all the hacking cruft these people are doing, they're just overwriting places in the memory, the teleport happens when the server attempts to resolve the location. You'll see some of these bots "up in the air" initially, or underground. Most of the time wearing no gear. All they are mining are crystals (I figured that out based on the locations of the bots and their current level)

They are not hacked accounts. These are people explicitly using bot software.

As for solving it, they could just make it so crystals are unsellable, but then they would switch to some other crafting material.
