How to start end-game?

Hello!

Need some advice...

I didn't do either Wanderer's Palace nor Amdapor Keep.

My question is... Where should I start? I have full AF + GC weapons.

I was not able to beat Ifrit yet and my main is PLD.

Crafting on my spare time.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Do Castrum Meridianum for Philosophy tomes so you can get darklight gear
I did Ifrit with AF gear my first time
Ifrit is easy if you know when to stun, you should be the only one stunning.
Try to farm him or Garuda to get one of their weapons, it's fine until you have a relic weapon (Garuda's weapon is better than Ifrit's but you have to beat Ifrit first to have access to Garuda)
AK is doable in AF depending on the rest of your party, but it's better if you have some darklight gear.
Wanderer's place is... meh but you can get some philosophy tomes from there too. It takes too long and is too boring for what it gives in my opinion lol

Edit : Btw (in case you don't know) try to do AK to cap the 300 mythology tomes you can get each week. They reset on monday so try to get the 300 before that, each run gives 40.

When you say resets..., does that mean the 300 you have set to zero? I'm no where near end game, but merely curious.

The cap it only allow you to get 300 per week, By monday, it'll back to 0 for cap, But the mythology itself will not reset to 0 or anything until you spend something with it.

Titan weapon is almost similar as Garuda, but slightly upgrade sometime, both is ilvl 70. However, once you beat Titan on certain class youre on, You will get relic quest, so its kinda pointless to use Titan one.

Hello Arcanum!

I would recommend finding a nice and friendly (LS/FC) group to start learning tanking Amdapor Keep with. Your gear is fine for that, but I hear some DF groups can be rather...demanding. You should farm AK for the gear and tomestones and also maybe Castrum for DL tomestones. DL tank gear is very nice and you should start from getting that (body/head and legs/feet first). For weapon I'd recommend skipping Ifrit and going straight for Garuda, although you will need to kill Ifrit to get Garuda access.

Ifrit shouldn't be that demanding if you're OffTanking, but it's not really rewarding.
Don't enter AK yet if you don't have stuff, but you should be able to enter Palace and maybe drop some stuff.
You can also try to run Castrum Meridianum multiple time to get Philosophal tome (100 per run), it takes 20 to 30min depending on the group and get Darklight gear.
With 2-3 piece of Palace/DarkLight you'll be able to enter AK, there you'll get some nice stuff, philosophal and mythologique Tome.

Whatever you stuff is you can farm Ifrit for your weapon, but it's a 1/9 chance if you're the only paladin.

Nonsense, we've had PLD in pretty much full AF main tanking Garuda without issues.

Don't listen to the people trying to bring useless gear elitism to the very starting level of endgame.

Yeah AF isn't THAT bad. To be perfectly honest, nearly every DF group I had that was successful in Ifrit, AK, Garuda, and (almost, damn DC by tank on P3) Titan was in AF/DL jewelry or a low mix. HQ Crafted weaps/GC(lv50) weaps work just as fine also.

This was shown to me clear as day when my first Titan fight had a bunch of us 'newbies' in lower gear, get to P3 within 2 wipes, and would've won had the main tank not DC'ed; versus groups in nearly if not full DL gear, cutting each other down and having an 'oops' moment nearly every other turn, leading to rage quits left and right. AK was the same deal for me, and garuda is more or less just knowing/learning the fight.

In the end it largely depends on who your running with, with gear being important but not end all be all. Just make sure your up to date best you can be from crafted items and such, gathering DL along the way. Now for Coil of Bahamut I have no clue and willing to accept the fact it takes full DL/Relic weap to get through it, as its the highest we can go right now. But this DF stuff, meh.

You jest, but I actually had a dude tell me I shouldn't be running AK without full DL gear.
