    Stone vigil bane of healers

Maybe i had a bad tank, or maybe it was because the monk charged ahead and took agro but this dungeon is the hardest i have had yet in this game. Put aside some groups of mobs hit really hard and since it was a japanese group they couldn't or didn't try to ask me to sleep them. And those god dam dragonflies never held agro on the tank when in a group. I was always fighting to keep myself up with either healing through it, sleeping it till someone hit it, or trying to LOS it. They new the fights which made it a easier fight then it would be for a bunch of newbies to the dungeon for the first 2 bosses, but the last boss after 50% when his freeze the group passes seem to get bigger and bigger, its just seemed like a random chance if you could see and way and run out in time. I am not complaining to much it was a hard type of fun, but if you didn't watch youtube vids on it beforehand this would almost seem to difficult.

    what do you others think?

Stone vigil was really easy imo.

You probably had a bad group, and your first sentece about the monk, in those cases just don't heal them. They will eventually learn how to properly dps a dungeon.

You get used to the dungeon pretty quick none of the bosses are difficult as long as the group members know the tactics. The second boss with a person who is quick on canons is a joke just refresh stoneskin between each AoE when the other dragon comes and it does like zero damage.

For the last boss i assume you are talking about the spam phases. It will spam two sets of AoE's. 2 sets of red circles then 2 of the glowing areas. I would normally pop sprint when it flies in the air since you won't use the TP for anything else as the healer and just keep moving for the red circles if you stand still and have to move out of one you can get caught by it and it'll make it a problem if you have paralyze and have to get out a glowy area. With sprint on you should have no problem getting out in time when the glowy areas come.

The only thing that ever caused me issues healing in Stone Vigil is when you get Tanks who do the whole spinning thing on the boss and they turn the boss on the party when they do a big attack and kills everyone.

What about the dragonflies? was it just a bad tank that couldn't keep up with agro?

It depends really. With some groups you'll have to heal more especially on tanks because mobs hit hard and if they don't have really good gear they might take a few spikes of damage and you'll have to chain together heals. Especially for some moments like when you need to fight multiple dragons and ice sprites. You might build a lot of threat and pull something. A really switched on tank knows when they have lost threat and will often be able to snap it back.

If they don't see it right away or are running low on TP you might have to deal with it. If they have TP you can calmly run the mob back to the tank and hope they take it off you or the easier one i find is just use fluid aura to push the mob away from you then repose to sleep it until it can be dealt with. If you only pull some secondary mob it shouldn't be an issue to just move it and sleep it.

Also remember you have your shroud which not only regens your MP it also cuts your threat level in half. For hard mobs where you need to heal a lot you can use shroud when you start building threat and be able to start over again with every mob on green.

I did SV Many times as a healer in my 40's. I found it to be very easy compared to the other instances around them.
