Lightning FATE Trailer, What Do You Think?

Considering all the human mobs I've seen so far have used skills and weapons available to players, I'm very curious to see if the skills Lightning is using is a trial run on a potential job for Gladiators to allow them a DPS option with a One Handed sword and no Shield. Isn't/wasn't there an option for Gladiators to do that previously?

Gladiators can choose to not equip or unequip a shield, that's about as close as they can get to a no shield style. however we lose out on two skills that need a shield equipped. so i use a very small one, basically it allows me to keep the feeling of a no shield while still using one.

Thats kind of what i was getting at. In the same way that Arcanists have the option of the Scholar (Heal) and Summoner (DD) Job souls to equip, I saw Lightning use what appears to be a Fast Blade / Savage Blade Combo, then follow that up with a third skill Gladiators don't have.
So I'm wondering if we might see whatever 'Job' Lightning is drawing skills from as a Job for Gladiators to give them a legit One-Handed sword no Shield DD Job.
Or if they're just teasing us and Lightnings skill set is purely for her.

Lightnings outfit is probably gender restricted, same with Snow.

most MMOs i've played that had "guest characters" gave them skills only they could use. the biggest one being the old PSU one, they'd bring Sonic and Tails and give them skills that players themselves were unable to get. its lame but it also in a way keeps them more unique then the players.

You are correct. However, I'm pretty sure they didn't have the job system XIV has
Even if it wasn't literally a "Play as Lightning" job, it could still be a job that uses Gladiators but not a Shield and is DPS.
It'd be nice to see Gladiators and Marauders given a DPS Job in future.

The weapons in the pictures SE showed, os it just me or did every class but acn/sch/smn, get a new weapon? I didn't see any books...

I absolutely hate her and snow.
Might not participate if it's too much trouble. I might like to collect crap, but I have my limits. One of them being crossovers featuring awful characters.

Still, I might look nice in that jacket. Unless it comes with that dumb blanket thing. And I want nothing to do with those weapons of mass holyshitdoesthisclashwiththeworlddesign.

The goddess of the bland yet somehow popular is hopefully getting her final game, so were having a crossover to celebrate her retirement.
I only wish we could burn her effigy as a testament to the defiance of over focused marketing.
