If we were to implement an "resume crafting" feature after a disconnection occurs, there are a few things that must be taken into consideration. It is difficult to confirm whether or not the disconnection is due to a connection/technical issue or if it was done intentionally. There is also the possibility that this system could be exploited so we must be very careful during the planning phase.

While considering the above, the development team would like to look into this further, but they are not currently planning a resume after disconnect type of feature.
Thanks for the reply, Camate. It's nice to know the Devs are thinking about this. Exploits are actually half the reason I posted this. I'm fine if it can't be done due to feasibility, but I honestly can't see any flaws with my idea, and so I came to the forums to see if it has any holes.

Indeed! That's the ultimatum! Upon logging in, you'd be presented with a dialogue box which you cannot just ignore (like the levemetes). You'd be informed of the situation and consequences, and there are two buttons to press. "Continue" and "Abandon". No chance to change your gear, eat more food or even change location.

"Your character was logged out during synthesis. You may either continue your synthesis from where you left it or abandon it. If you abandon, there is a chance you may lose your materials."
