Several days ago, I reached the point in the main-questline where you have to complete Brayflox's Longstop. I quickly brought up several guides online and read them through to the best that I could, so I knew all the details.

I was a Gladiator at the time, playing with my girlfriend who was an Archer. We queued up and whilst we waited the few minutes I quickly ran over a few details of the bosses with my girlfriend.

We went into the dungeon when it popped and were placed with a White mage and a Black mage. Everything went really smoothly at first, we weren't incredibly social, nothing more than a hello. we got to the first boss and aside from a little trouble from the adds, we pulled through with little to no hassle.

Then we reached the second boss, this is where it started getting to be a little bit of a tough ordeal. Whenever the add came in we'd enter into trouble. The thing mostly was that the healer was having connection troubles.

I then asked the Black Mage if he knew he could sleep the boss when the add comes, they didn't know but we tried and it worked, so that made taking the add down a little easier, though Brayflox would then take aggro off the boss and would get the rest of the group caught in it's AoE, meaning a wipe.

Again having to wait for the healer to log out and in, we sat waiting for at least twenty minutes. During this time, my girlfriend and I were chatting with the Black Mage, I then looked them up on the Lodestone and found that all four of us came from the same server, was surprising to say the least.

When the White Mage returned we went and blitzed the boss, finally figuring out all the kinks and what we each needed to do. The mobs between the second and third boss caused us to wipe a couple of times, due to patrols and pulling more than we could handle. We eventually managed to make it through after taking the mobs out.

At the third boss, mechanics were explained and we went through, I didn't tell my girlfriend of the dragon though, which made for a good laugh when it surprised her. We then cleared all the way to the fourth boss without too much stress.

We had about 10 minutes to take down the last boss.

After quickly talking about it, we ran in and took a shot. It wasn't long before we wiped, as I wasn't able to dodge the Dragon's breath attack. We rezzed and quickly ran back, the white mage suggested I strafe whilst tanking the boss, so that I was always moving, would make it easier to dodge the breath.

We had 7 minutes left.

We ran in for the last time, to my surprise and happiness, the white mage's suggestion was working. We ended up taking the boss out with 30 seconds to spare.
I know for sure that my partner and I have never been so relieved in a video game as we were at that moment.

We added the two other members of the group to our friends list after thanking them for the run and despite this being the hardest dungeon experience I've had in both this and the prior MMO I played, it was one of the best experiences I've had.

What about you guys, any positive stories to tell?
