If an inflexible engine is making revisions that takes days weeks, and weeks months, then yes, it's very much at fault.

But then it's the fault of those that designed an engine in the first place, because the goal of an engine is to facilitate all current and probably projects.

If crystal tools is making FF14 hard to program for, then the engineers clearly screwed up. The whole point of an engine is to be able to promote on it, not hinder it.

You can make a crappy engine but a good game, and a crappy game on a good engine, but the goals of the engine is pretty straight forward.
