Class Vagrant(katana) > Job Samurai(DPS)(Lancer/Arcanist), Ninja(DPS)(Thaumaturge,Talon)
Class Talon(Knives and Daggers) > Job Thief(DPS/TANK)(Pugulist,Archer), Dancer(HEALER/DPS)(Conjurer,Lancer)
Vagrant are skilled Katana (one or two hand) users that have access to magic imbued physical attacks. They have abilities that can change the element of their attack with each element forcing a different weakness into a monster. All abilities use both MP and TP.
At level 30 can unlock Samurai (Two handed only) a Job that summons the magic of their blades. Their job skills are based on dealing higher physical damage and chaining two abilities together into the same manuever. They get an ability that has them wait until you've selected two different abilities and then blends them into a single more powerful attack. Attacks lower their MP cost but gain a larger TP cost.
At level 30 can unlock Ninja (dual wielding one handed only) a Job that focuses more on the magical side of the scale debilitating their foes with flashy magics. Attacks become MP cost only and the cost rises.
Talon are skilled knife and dagger users can use shields. They can get in close to the enemy without fear of reprisal attacks and have a trait that allows them a higher dodge rate of AOE attacks. Their abilites allow them to strip or break defenses and shore them up with party members.
At level 30 can unlock Thief who uses a shield and dagger. Thieves specialize in picking apart their enemies defenses from up close. They get an ability that allows them to steal beneficial statuses from their enemies and take it on as their own. While also being able to dispel a negative status from a party member and force it onto their enemy. They can't take as many direct hits as a Warrior or Paladin, but they are fast enough to avoid them all together.
At level 30 can unlock Dancer who dual wield knives. They get in close and bleed their enemies dry, using the damage they deal to fuel healing magics for the party. They have an ability that deals Damage over time to the enemy which heals all party members fighting the monster with restore health when they attack.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
dark knight, cuz its fcking awesome
Scout class > Thief (SCT30/PUG30) and Ninja jobs (SCT30/ARC15)
Both should have access to dual wield,
I like how thief focused on sneak attacks and enmity generation / transfering in XI. With steal (item steal) and mug (minor damage + gil plunder)
Ninja should focus on sneak attacks, ninjutsu (utsusemi!) and throw. (shurikens?)

I guess the Musketeer / Corsair is pretty much the next job as the guild is already there
other than that... I really really really really really ... really want to see more DoM - Only 3 mages that's just no worthy FF title!
Red Mage, Blue Mage, Green Mage, Time Mage, Sage, Illusionist, Bishop, Oracle, Geomancer....
Samurai, but not as a tank as some suggest stricltly DPS please. It never has been a tanking class in any iteration of FF, always been about damage.
Rogue based class I suppose thief/ninja would fit this well, we have musketeer hiding somewhere also as ranged dps so I imagine that will turn up eventually.
Red or Blue Mage for a caster, not a big fan of the other types.
EDIT: Almost forgot I would love to see machinist, engineer and gunner (musketeer fits here I suppose) cross over into an mmo setting.

As it stands, S-E Consider there to be 4 mages. SCH and SMN counted seperately as they are are entirely different roles in application.
Also, please look to the FFXI Release, Until rise of the Zilart came out only WHM RDM and BLM existed as magic classes. The others, WAR THF MNK PLD DRK BST BRD and RNG, none of which are strictly magic classes.
With Rise of the Zilart, the only new Dedicated caster was Summoner.
I think we have enough for now and need some jobs with variety.
Maybe ninja can have ranged attacks and melee attacks that require fixed distances (cant use his ranged up close).
I would like to see:
Time Mage
Green Mage
Devout
Sage
Viking
berserker
Mystic Knight
Onion Knight
