    Tricks of the trade Question

    I'm reading the description of TotT (lv15 alchemy ability) on a wiki site and I don't really understand it. I'm assuming it can only be used after "excellent" when the status of a synth turns to "poor". If this was the case it probably wouldn't be all that great as excellent hardly ever appears in my experience (not that I do much crafting mind you).

    I'm trying to level a few crafts to 15, then I'll probably try to take this all the way for comfort zone anyway, but just trying to decide which to do first.

    Tricks of the Trade can only be used when the condition is "Good". It "consumes" the Good condition and restores 20 CP.

    I had this confusion as well, probably from the same source. Tricks should work on 'Good' condition, not poor, from my understanding.

    Tricks does not work on Poor condition nor on Excellent condition, only Good. You should pretty much always use it when you can, unless an important buff like Great Strides will expire on the next turn.

    I beleave in Beta Tricks only worked on poor condition which is where the conflicting information is coming from.

    A lot of wikis have this wrong. Tricks of the Trade is available when your state is *good*, not poor. Its use is to extract CPs out of a Good state when you don't want to do (or can't do) a Touch at that step, and very useful it is, too.
