    Most Profitable/efficient DoH?

Hi. I will hit lvl 50 on my DoW soon. After that i would like to level a DoH. But which one? I dont think i will have the time to level more than 1 DoH to 50. So i wanted to know which DoH can make good money but is still not that hard/costly to level?

    thanks

Goldsmith used to be able to make a lot of money, but now the whole server and their dogs are lvl 50 goldsmiths walking around town with their white robes and stuff.

All crafts have potential to make gil, you just have to put in the time and effort to research what to craft, how to do it efficiently, and how to sell it for good profit.

Because it takes effort to work that part out, you are unlikely going to find someone who will just hand over their magic formula, or suggestions.

    Good luck

You're going to definitely be losing money no matter what if you don't pick up a gathering class first.

This is going to be the crushing blow to crafting in ARR. If 25% of the population on a server levels all the crafting classes, there is zero motive for the other 75% to do it. A player can run a dungeon 5000 times, they will progress. The only thing I need to do is go to the levequest desk and see what has triple turn in, churn out 9 a day and I'm done.

Long term, I project Armorer to be the gil farm but it will feel more like dailies.

As some above posters are hinting... you can honestly make money on any crafting class, but you will make signicantly more money if you level a gathering class as well. If leveling a gathering class isn't your thing (which is completely understandable), I might recommend leatherworker to you since their most critical materials are found through killing, which you can technically gather as DoW/DoM.

And someone else hit the nail on the head, you need to do research to know what sells if you're going to try to make money as a crafter. Crafting is really easy in this game and there are a lot of crafters, so leveling to max and then making high level items usually are not going to net you much profit. I actually make most of my money through selling lower level gear that most people, even other crafters, are too lazy to make. The biggest advantage with this is you have significantly less competition and in a short time frame you can set the market value of those items. Looking at the logs and seeing "what is selling/how many times a day" is probably the key thing.

    Good luck!

This is exactly why I haven't even seriously considered leveling any DoH. Some people claim you can 1-50 in 2 or 3 days. If that's the case then I really don't feel its worth my time, there are going to be TONS of level 50's and undercutting is definitely going to be prevalent. There are more than a few people in my ls and fc that have all the DoH at 50, so yeah.. I don't see the point.
