Changing to a DPS class with a different primary Stat

A quick question about the viability of changing classes with different primary stats.

How gimped would a class be if I were to switch from a primary Int class (BLM, SMN) to Dex (BRD)?

To give context, I've levelled up THM to 26, ARCH to 15, and ARCA to 15 and dumped every stat point in to INT.... but I'm considering switching to ARCH/BRD at this point. Would my Bard be gimped, or would it be fairly negligible at this point to make the switch and just dump the rest in to DEX?

Well, your attribute points are independent for each class. So you can have all of your points in Int for Thaumaturge and Arcanist and still have all your points in Dex for Archer, or Strength for Monk or Dragoon.

Answer: Not at all
Reason: Classes do not share their stat points. Each class spends its stat points for that class.

Jobs however share the stats with the class it is linked to. So SMN and SCH both share the stats of ACN. So for that you need to choose if you want to DPS or heal. (INT or MND)
