Why do people queue for the Praetorium if they're just going to decline the ready?

I've queued for the Praetorium twice this week. On Monday there were FIVE declinations in a row before I gave up and just decided to spam more CM.

As of now it's been declined four times, and I'm not sure why.

Why queue up for something you're just going to decline? It's baffling.

Not everyone gets an instant queue. It's entirely possible that, after queuing, someone:

- has to go answer the door
- alt-tabs to do something real quick and loses track of time
- takes a bathroom break
- gets pulled away from the computer for any other reason
- answers the phone and it's important

I don't think you quite understand the situation I'm describing. This is a physical declination of the ready to join button. It's not letting the timer tick down from 45 to 0. It pops up, and immediately goes down because someone hit the "No" button.

I also don't get instant queued. I'm queuing on my Dragoon. ;o

Quite often what happens is they que up for one thing, but forgot to take of the tick for Praetorium and praetoruim pops, but they ment to do something like ifirit hm or something and they reject because its a accident.

That or, again, emergencies, or things come up. Only difference with the list I gave is that instead of timing out, they notice, and hit "no" rather than slow down the group.

Would you rather have people join and then go AFK for a while?

If it popped up and was immediately declined several times in a row in quick succession, what you have is a tank trolling the queue.

The other option is a Tank/Healer trying for an in-progress group.

I've declined for stuff immediately because right at the same time the DF popped I got a tell from a friend asking me to do something else with them...just to add another reason people might do this.

I've heard a few horror stories regarding spiteful tanks and healers deliberately queuing for dungeons and declining repeatedly. I had this happen the other day when queuing for Garuda - six different groups formed within a few minutes and each and every time the healer would decline. A new group would form moments later and the same thing happened again.
