The end game right now is a joke you can -
- Grind AK, CM speedruns for tokens. wich is boring
- Leveling onother classes becouse of reasons. mostly becouse some classes are better for end game.
- Leveling crafting (can be fun i give you that)
- Doing Coil...but you need 8 ppl. No dungeon finder for that. Now i can understand if your not geared you will fail in coil but realy why not a dungeon finder with gear requirement?????

i would atleast try it for the fun factor even if the group fails rether than looking for a party for days.

You forgot 3 Hard Mode primals and the relic quest. Not to say it adds a TON more, but that's still a chunk of endgame you've forgotten.

So what you're trying to say is, you don't consider serious endgame stuff like Coil to be serious unless you can DF it? You're saying because it largely requires organized groups of people to complete, rather than just a bunch of randoms thrown together, it's a joke? Am I interpreting this correctly?

Titan (hard) is the most difficult content in the game aside from Coil and it can be completed through DF, albeit rarely. Wouldn't actual endgame like Coil be more of a joke if all of it was so trivial that it could be completed through DF? Why does everything need to be available in DF just because you can't be bothered to find or organize a group on your own server? I think your personal preferences/bias have you seeing things backwards. Maybe instead you could admit that something like Coil simply isn't for you, and rather than trying to change it so that it IS for you... you could simply ask for more content that is?

Well, golly gee wiz, wouldn't you know it! More content right up your alley is coming in 2.1. Wild, right? And what little endgame content there is to do in the first FOUR WEEKS (seriously dude, four whole weeks) of the game's existence still outweighs what was available in just about any other MMO in recent memory within the same time frame.

FFXI had nothing for the better part of a year. GW2 had like one endgame dungeon and nothing else for the first 4-6 months (and hasn't really added any legitimate endgame since). SWTOR had virtually nothing for 6 months. Tera had dungeons to grind, but then what? WoW launched with MC and BWL, but they were the only real endgame content the game had until 8-9 months later... and it did pretty okay. XIV is getting its first huge patch before the end of the year, adding more endgame content (extreme primals, hard mode dungeons, crystal tower) plus more turns will be added to coil in 2.2 another few months after that.

I see this kind of thread all the time and every time I do I can't help but wonder if people can only remember things that happened five minutes ago.

but as it is even with all the people -beating- titan not very many are even in coils so i have to agree with ikkenoe

it has nothing to do with make friends for progress. the problem is when there is no ppl/or friends who dont wanna/can do dungeons with you, you can allways use the dungeon finder to get in with random ppl from random servers to continue you progress in the game. and coil is like a wall in the end game, you can ask ppl from your server / linkshels what ever but if you cant find anyone your stuck. imagine if you need to shout from lvl 15 dungeons if dungeon finder was not there

ps. ppl use dungeons finders becouse of that reasons i cant stay all day in the game and shout for a party for 4 hours, i have another things to do. ppl who dont wanna use dungeon finders like for TITAN they dont use it. they have the OPTION to not use it.

You're not clearing Binding Coil with duty finder. You're just not.

Maybe when SE tones it down (like they said they will when more End Game comes out), they'll allow it to be duty findered. But as of right now, it's not. And that's something you're going to have to deal with.

Find a Linkshell that's doing binding coil if you don't feel like leaving your FC.

If you think you can attempt even Caduceus in Duty Finder, you have another thing coming. Coil requires more communication (especially turns 2 and 4) than any other thing in this game by far. It's on a whole different level than Titan HM. And you want to use a DUTY FINDER to go in with 7 randoms? Are you nuts? Even assuming you get a good party makeup (and yes, some turns DO require certain classes be brought, at least as a 1-of), how are you going to communicate properly with everyone to actually do things like trade tank aggro in turn 2, organize the pulling of slimes to Caduceus/splitting Cad, or the hell that turn 4 can be? You know nothing Jon Snow.

i would chat with the ppl using my keyboard like i did in ifrit garuda hm and other dungeons, on titan fight i joined a group becouse we dont need 2 tanks for that. again i had the OPTION to not use it. not everyone who joins DF is stupid, i saw many ppl learning from fights after wipes, Garuda was a big deal at the beginning but ppl learn. dont come here and tell me i am nuts because you think coil is impossible with a random group YOU dont know if its possible or not because the is no option to test it. You only know that its HARD because you was in that does not means its impossible with a random group.

No because that linkshell is on your server and you would presumably run with them in the future, hence retaining the lessons learned from prior runs. DF is a random group of people from different servers; you run a substantial risk of people joining who have never even entered. I don't think a DF Coil group gets beyond ADS on turn 1 let alone Caduceus. Is it possible? Sure. Would I ever join a DF Coil group? Never.
