so here is the problem..im a drg which is fine..im trying to work on end game content in pugs and duty finder. have not found a single group that can handle the easy chimera simple mechanics..CM runs or anything for that matter are 30mins MINIMUM to get into so farming tombs isnt optimal..

so i either find a Free Company that can pencil me into a group OR do i reroll tank OR healer to improve que times OR do i reroll on another server.. suggestions?

I saw people spamming at Revenant's Toll for Chimera and CM runs for the whole 12 hours I played yesterday. Take the Initiative to join FC, Linkshell, or groups by socially interacting with others instead of letting duty finder do it for you. It took me from 5-15 min to find 3 HM Titan runs and 2 AK groups each. Never cool to generalize problems in titles like "Siren server is dead" if you have not tried all the possible solutions.

Well bud, I can tell you for sure the server isn't dead, my FC is rather LARGE and has well over 50+ people online regularly. If you're looking for folks to play with, perhaps you should try striking up friendships in game first before trying to find some parties. It's kinda tough hitting end game and not having a FC yet. Its usually the climb to end game that builds camaraderie Although after reading some Blogs and seeing a bunch of new people flowing into the game, I think I'm going to try and start an initiative for helping folks like you out. It won't be the same as a Free Company, and It'll probably just involve using Linkshells, but it's worth a shot.

queue time problems are in part player made and of cause in part SE made

as with all MMO's 80% of players role dps with 10% healer and 10% tank so basicly every time you queue you can assume that 1 tank 1 healer and 8 dps are queueing as dungeons only have room for 2 dps it makes the queue time for dungeons significantly longer for dps class's. it has nothing to do with the overall population of the server.

it was a nice idea in theory to make dungeons part of the storyline however in practice it leads to very long queue times for dps which makes a lot of players just avoid dungeons as much as they can.

I can see what you are talking about. Part of the problem with this queue finder is they set you as dps, heals or tank. So ACN is forced to go dps, which adds another class for you to queue against.

Another part of the problem is you are wanting to clear content as DRG. I might be wrong but it seems like that is the most played class on this server. But, instead of pointing out problems here's a solution.

All of my jobs are almost 25 with SMN being 36. If I need to get content knocked out I switch to a job that can queue quicker. So if I queue as dps and don't get a pop I switch to heals as SCH. If that doesn't work I know that the job that's missing is a tank.

I think there is a shortage of tanks on our server. If you just want to play the endgame content roll a GLD then go PLD. The reason I say that is WAR is squishy. I love playing MRD but, I can tell the difference between the two while I am healing.

yeah, queue times are long, and yeah it's frustrating to not be able to bring out your chocobo or join fate groups in the meantime, but you can level an alt class, solo fates, quest, craft, levequest, etc. admittedly not ideal, but I've leveled as a thm up to 39 so far and i'll always eventually find a group, and i've only wiped on one boss so far (the end of braylock, i think, the dragon who spits pools of poison). and if I wanted to put in the effort, I probably could have found a few people to go with me. find a tank or a healer and the queue is almost instant. basically, make some friends. be friendly and amiable in fate groups

Yah I am not sure why games are going to 4 person parties. FF 11, usually you took 6 back when I played, not sure that is the same now. You tried to take a healer, tank, support and 3 dps. Six man parties would basically open up for the need of 2 more DPS in each party.
