Wut? I had no problem whatsoever doing Ifrit with just AF gear, did it first or so try with Duty Finder. The only possible thing is my gear might of holded me back on me dps cause I don't have ''optimal gear'', but I still did it with no problem whatsoever. So, so what? Are you telling me I should of waited till I had the optimal gear to do it?
If so, nah I would rather go through it more challenge with skill instead of less challenge because of gear.

Not at all, and I didn't claim that either. I just said that atm there isn't much variety, meaning smaller chance of giving a large number of people something of what they want. So good for you who likes what we've gotten, bad for those of us who don't like it. Like I said though I understand why it is like that, since the game is new, and I think it will get better rather fast.
It is possible to do Amdapor Keep without an Ifrit weapon and a few pieces of Darklight. Possible, but not easy. It requires skill, communication, and comfort. If you got through it without these, you got carried. I have no idea what world you come in on, but there are times when needing to do damage to Demon Wall fast enough, as well as to the King, requires you to have DL and Ifrit HM weapons. These have soft timers on them requiring certain degrees of damage. King especially requires the tank to have an enormous amount of health and/or mitigation to deal with Rancor and Grudge. There's Wanderer's Palance, which most people skip -.- and there's Amdapor Keep.

Sometime after getting some decent gear from those 2, you can do Ifrit (you *can* before there, but you really shouldn't. If you're a 4k paladin, or a 2700 hp healer, you're there too early. If you succeed, you got carried.)
But Ifrit is easy to do with skill without the weapon. You merely need coordination and communication. Plume timing, interrupt eruptions, Meteor if possible on all nails or Final Heaven one and then burn the rest down as fast as possible, etc. These things do not require the gear check that AK or Palace do. You can get by in these with AF and the GC 2nd Lt. weapon. Most of my runs involve tanks barely geared much above this, if at all, and they do just fine farming for their weapons SO they can do AK.
Prior to these dungeons, though, and during, you should also be doing Castrum and Praetorium. The latter is especially fun, can be very fast, and Ultima is a blast. (If you can't handle Ultima, you won't be able to handle Ifrit, so there's your benchmark. Practice on UW to try Ifrit HM. THEN, once you get the weapon, incorporate WP and AK into your arsenal, as you should also have at least one or two pieces of DL trinkets on you to help smooth out the gear bumps.)
When I was talking about Ifrit, I was talking about people who basically ding 50 and queue for it. I generally have good luck with Ifrit, but my most recent two runs, the healers let *both* tanks die, because they couldn't keep them up. The MT in both runs was a warrior, the first had 7k hp and the second had 5k hp, so naturally my paladin was stunning, and I wasn't missing Eruptions.
And yeah, I'm about 0/40 on getting my Ifrit's Blade myself. I know ifrit weapons aren't remotely necessary for AK.
So yeah, you can actually be undergeared for Ifrit. It almost takes effort to be that lazy, but people do manage it.
And to people saying this is a new game.
THIS IS NOT A NEW GAME.
Actually, much of the content is from 1.0, overhauled, but still from 1.0. You're giving them a free pass on how little they've actually added. I also can't help that I'm already at endgame, have both my subs leveled, and have am working on subs for my white mage because leveling is that obscenely easy.
The fun in XIV certainly was not to be in the leveling, but neither, so far, is it in capped content because level cap has two instances to do. (Again, I haven't done coil yet and CM is idiot-proof)
