Losing rested exp bonus

This has happened to me twice before now, and again today.
I lose all of my rested exp bonus if I change to a lower level job.
Example: I gain rested bonus at a sanctuary or the Inn, while on a lv50 job/class. It builds all the way up to over half of a bar of exp (the different coloration) So on a level 50 job, that's easily over 200k exp. rested bonus.
I change job/class to something lower, in my instance botanist lv28.
I then lose rested bonus exp. based on what the bar was sitting at. If the rested bonus bar was showing halfway, then my rested bonus bar shows halfway on my botanist lv28. Which is CONSIDERABLY lower than 200k exp rested bonus.
I will now only gain rested exp bonus up to the bar.
To confirm this, I change back to a level 50 job, and the rested exp bonus bar now shows under 1/5. I effectively lost over 150k exp rested bonus, simply by changing jobs.
This should not happen.
It needs to be fixed.
I've probably lost over 500k exp rested bonus by this bug.
It is very, very, very easily duplicatable. Simply gain rested exp bonus, change to a lower level job, and whammo, it's all gone.

As far as I know rest bonus is NOT based on the numerical amount of EXP but percentage instead. Also from what I can tell, the bonus shouldn't cover every single class. Just the Percentage that you gained overall.

Yeah, it's % instead of flat amount. It would be abused otherwise.

That still doesn't explain why I lose it. I can change jobs off a lv 50, the bar will reduce, go back to the same lv50, and it will still be reduced. It doesn't go back to it's original value.
