I honestly hope it is nothing like FFXI. I would like a whole new experience. I know that it is similar is some ways but I can't just go off what people say. Best way for me to know is to install and give it a shot. I appreciatte the opinion though . The game has been sitting on my shelf since the release and I can't stare at it any longer lol..

I haven't decided on a server yet. I was going to ask peoples opinions when it got closer to the end of the month. Since you have mentioned it though, I think I might just go there.

Selbina is the most populated as far as I know.

Besaid is the unofficial roleplaying server.

Don't go on the low populated servers unless you enjoy lots of empty spaces and being unable to find proper parties/items-for-sale easily.

And don't start as a Disciple of the Hand; it is incredibly hard to level up Disciples of the Hand early on without leves.

You're good to go. We have the same card too. I can't max it out, or rather, I can but things get all jumpy every now and then; like in Gridania.

I don't really see a plausible reason to wait for more content, since there is no monthly subscription fee right now. Sure, it'll come eventually, but I think we'll be having a nice load of things to do by then.

I say, let out your barbaric yawp at the store clerk to let him know you want xiv, go home and play on besaid until your heart's content

Those specs are good to go OP. As for whether you should jump ship... I'd say wait till mid-June.

New content is due out mid next month and If I was you I would just wait til then but then again the game is free to play currently so you may just want to hop on it, but if you do don't be in a rush to hit max level. Just take your time and enjoy the game and you will have something to do next month when the dungeons come out.
