Hey look, I'm posting in a deleted thread!
Response time on deleting posts is minutes. People get banned for four letter words heard on prime time TV. Calling someone out is a bannable offense. Bot'rs don't get banned. What conclusion am I to draw?
I think its unreasonable to assume they can task employees to watch all of the chat on all of the servers all the time to ban spammers. They are working on chat filters to prevent the spamming from happening among other things to prevent it. If they can't spam the accounts they stolen or bought will become worthless to them. As far as botters go, get proof and report them. The game just "launched" and they probably have their hands full with other things.
That it takes more to prove botting than it takes to prove you said what you shouldn't
It takes time to prove botting!
/go to random character spamming shouts every .5s in uldah about buying their gil.

SE is famous for doing bans 100's upto 1000's at a time not one by one. Unfortunate but true.
/inb4 topic ban/dev response to something a lot less important then things like CC paying problems/server lag/rmt/harassment in DF threads!

Ah, but will facing north-by-northeast at 2:45 a.m. while the moon is a waning crescent result in a 27% increase in your chances to synthesize HQ mythril ingots!? That is real the question! ~Fernehalwes~
