It's not an issue with you PERSONALLY being able to earn gil. It has to do as a collective. There's not a lot of ways to generate gil into the economy. Mostly at endgame. The best way is HQ crafting leves(I believe, correct me if I'm wrong). Other than that? Being a level 50 DOW/DOM doesn't net you a way to generate more gil. You just consistently lose it. Not everyone enjoys crafting/gathering, so there needs to be a way for the combat classes to generate gil. As it stands currently, there is not.
So if let's say there's only 50 million gil in the current economy(on your server). Now the server as a whole is losing gil at a rate of 100,000 gil per day, but only gaining about 50,000 gil per day. This would eventually lead to the server losing more and more gil. People's wallets stagnate. There needs to be a way to GENERATE gil into the economy other than through HQ crafting leves(which are limited to 6 per day if you do them every day).
Also, when not a lot of gil is being generated, and people spend gil on things that do not put gil back into the economy(such as teleporting, or repairing at an NPC), the results are what we are currently getting right now.
