Issues with payment

Im curious as to why those who dont have electronic payment methods available, either they dont have credit cards or debit cards, or don't have parents that will provide a card. Why don't you just get a visa gift card for 20 bucks and use that? Is there a issue with it?

Yea, they give the same error lol.
I don't know why some people have problems when others don't. It's been this way for me since 2010. I can assure you I know how to read an I understand some people have no problem but some people are. Either way im just buying crysta through UP and waiting for game cards to show up in Canada at this point.

those gift cards did fix the whole "secured by visa" a lot of people had in FFXI though back in the day. That's how I got past it when my CC didn't use it.

Not only does getting a visa gift card not fix a problem. They either have a monthly fee or a fee to load or a fee to buy them

Because of my country, the mog station doesn't give me the option of buying crysta. So yeah it is either credit card or nothing and it won't accept my credit card.

nope, my account doesn't have the option like at all. See in your mogstation right below your name it says how much crysta you have? yeah my account doesn't even have that part.

A family member has a US account since we were living in the US when he made it, we had to buy crysta for his account since we had the same credit card problems. When I went to see if I could do the same I realized that I don't have the option at all. I have written to their technical support so they maybe add the crysta option to my account so I can buy a game card from wallmart like my relative.

Yeah me too, I'm in panic mode right now. To think I won't be able to play because SE doesn't want my money is just sad

Crysta sadly hasn't been approved by government authorities in some countries (like Australia), regardless of how you want to pay for it, so it's not even listed as a payment option for those players who are unfortunate enough to be in those countries.

This was the issue I faced back when 1.0 was first released - I had no choice but to use Clicknbuy, which I had issues signing up with as well (my debit card didn't have Verified by Visa on it at the time, and took me ages to sort out).

Most banks nowadays offer Visa or Mastercard debit cards as a feature on their accounts so it's not too hard to get one, it might just take time to get the card set up, and require more effort than a lot of players are willing to expend just to play a game.

I'm ordering a new visa card, signed the papers this morning. Hopefully I'll get it before the last free day.
