I second this.
FFXIV:ARR isn't for the first 2 months, it's for life.
With your maths, 6 a day (very doable) is 5 years.
Imagine how boss you'll be in 5 years when you get that achievement...
I'll respect you.
A lot of them look like placeholder's to me. I really can't judge until I see what the first patch looks like.
There's no limit to how many guildhests you can do per day, so your point isn't really valid.
The point is 100% valid. Who in their right mind would sit there and do 10,000 pointless guildhests instead of spending the time doing more productive things?
That is a series of achievements I will never even bother trying to get. No value in it at all. There are plenty of much better ways for earning gil, so no - that is not a reason to do them.
The exact opposite of people like you. Completionists love these achievements, they will be done for sure. The point is 100% valid. Who in their right mind would sit there and do 10,000 pointless guildhests instead of spending the time doing more productive things?

I'm sorry, no one is going to do this. It's utterly pointless and is the very definition of tedium. Not that I really care about achievements, but I think the foundation for all of them is to encourage different play styles. Like explorers should have achievements for exploration, the elitist should have achievements for dungeons and raids. Like having the whole group kill X boss with level 1 weapons.
I fail to see what category do this task over and over a thousand times fall into. Not the completionist, not a sane one anyway.
If you feel it is pointless....then simply don't do them. It's not like anyone is forcing you to go for that Achievement...The point is 100% valid. Who in their right mind would sit there and do 10,000 pointless guildhests instead of spending the time doing more productive things?
