my main issues is tha fates are boring zergfest , and pop randomly![]()
checking map every 10s...running there with the zerg , demolish everything on sight and mount/teleport back to town repeat for 40 lvls........how can any1 find that fun ?
the problem is that fate last seconds sometimes....by the time u get there is over , and some fates pop in the other side of the map.![]()

I like the idea of FATE's but I'm dissapointed with the implementation... They just generally seem meh to me! Does anything negative happen if FATE's arent completed? Rift did this well, if you didn't help the region the towns got over run and taken over by mobs!
I think it would nice to see which one wins out. I highly doubt it would actually stop all the threads though, cognitive biases aren't so easily eliminated unfortunately.

I do agree with you, I think though the simple things like poll's are a nice way to get a little insight into the players opinions, also a little bit of the why. this could be useful to fixing the mechanics, after all if everyone hates tem for one reason, you could easily find ways to fix it.

I like fate grinding and doing dungeons in between. Guess I'm a oddity.
Your, not really odd, I usually do hunting log with any FATES that pop up on my way, while Qing for a dungeon. I just mix it all together in an adventuring xp grind.

They really should. Make it a reward upon completion of the instance - or some kind of auto-loot after killing a boss that goes out to every member of the party. A bit like instance currencies in other MMOs, except tuned to be in balance with the GC rewards of FATEs (so that both yield roughly the same amount of seals).
Honestly, I can't stand FATEs, though I do them anyway. They take absolutely zero thought to complete and are just like grinding mobs in my mind - which is equally dull.
[edit] Better yet, give GC seal rewards to Guildhests!
I wouldn't mind seeing other options available that are on par with fates. But that would be the only course of action. If you made dungeons the best xp, you would have the exact same threads just replace "mindless zerg" with "30min Q times"
