Relic +1 vs. Chest AF2

I went for Bravura+1. Yea, I've already gotten shit about it from people but I went with the idea that Turn 1 can drop the chest and I'd be mighty cheesed if I blew Myth tomes on something that can drop between the 3 weeks of farming back the Myth.

With that said, WAR's are kinda stuck as well. I've been told go for Chest (which I'm not sure I will due to Allagan dropping in Turn 1), but even with that, the AF2 head piece is poop, in my opinion. You lose parry AND accuracy from the Darklight combo piece, and even the hoplite at least has parry and accuracy.

What's everyone's take on that? Should WAR's go for Chest first or look more towards things like an easy upgrade to gloves, or maybe get a hero ring of fending since it + Allagan ring will eventually be BiS, as well.

I had the same train of thought as you though. Yah, AF2 chest would technically be "better", particularly given the fact that I'm still in an ilvl 60 chest piece. But Allagan chest is even better than Warrior's chest, and it drops off of turn 1.

Personally, I'm going to go for the belt and/or accessories, so I can easily swap over to PLD once I hit level 50 on it, rather than sinking any more limited mythology stones into WAR.

Yes, my bad. Predicament still stands.

The loss of parry, to me, doesn't warrant me to blow Myth points on AF2 helm. Which then makes the decision on not getting AF2 chest pretty easy. But the AF2 chest does however cut the Crit out and grant a huge buff to Accuracy. Why'd the helm have to suck so badly? Allagan Helm, seemingly, doesn't drop until Turn 5. :/

Except Allagan Chest and Warrior Cuirass have the exact same stats, so even better? Hah.

No, they don't.

Allagan = 24 Parry 34 Accuracy
Warrior = 34 Parry 24 Accuracy

Allagan is clearly superior.

Well, even then I doubt with full Warrior gear we need more accuracy honestly, although Allagan armour does look pretty nice...

It would actually be pretty hard to cap ACC on full Warrior armor.

You would only have +45 from you body and weapons, and would need to get the other ~84 Accuracy from Belt / Accessories alone which would mean accuracy in each and every off slot, which would mean the rest of your gear (accessories) is pre-chosen for you.

Except that DF/Hero/Allagan accessories are really bad and AF+1 head is just fine. BiS acc are, by very, very far, HQ crafted, a mix of DPS and tank one.
As long as you don't use those crappy token acc you'll get enough ACC with a full af+1 armor and parry isn't that important.
I can only suggest you to take a look at this post where I go more into details.
But overall, both Allagan and AF+1 are really close. I'm sticking with AF+1 simply because I love that skin so much and I know for a fact that in 5 weeks from now, I'll have it, whereas allagan...
Allagan head is a little bit better, it's not that drastic tbh, so if you can get it, fine, but not getting any ilvl 90 head waiting to drop one isn't a good idea, you lose too much STR/VIT. While a PLD could affort that, a WAR need every bit of stat he can get.

Maybe I've somehow missed something, but are those 10 points in accuracy really helping WAR more than 10 points in parry? Genuine question, I literally just don't know how much 10 points of acc or parry is helping in either department.

Also, from what I've seen, +1 Bravura isn't going to help you much in turn 1 of Coil considering you aren't DPS for that fight when they split. You'll be able to hold hate slightly better, but it's not really going to get you less dead/carried whereas an extra bit of health goes a long way. Then you can test and see if Allagan armor really is better and, in the next 3 weeks, get +1 Bravura. This is all speculation though, I'd love to hear from someone who's actually done it w/ +1 Brav or AF2 body.
