Telling people to skip cutscenes in Stone Vigil, Castrum Meridium, Praetorium on their first run with the special story cutscenes, is horrible. After the first run the cs's are different at least in SV and those can be skipped but first run for main story dungeons its a rude move to tell the new player to ruin their main story immersion so you can get a speed run for some seals...

Is this true? I had no idea. Could I watch the Castrum Cut Scene there? I felt so stressed the first time I entered that dungeon since me and the other healer were new. All 6 other people went straight on leaving us behind and for that sake I felt compelled to skip all scenes for the good of the group

Also, for all of you spamming "noob", "why the hell dont u know dis fight" and so forth at a person playing the dungeon for the first time - Not everyone were born with that knowledge (how that is even possible). You were also new to everything once, hmm?

    Less hating, more helping

If you're new, speak up. There are plenty of people willing to explain and offer advice, trust me. I know some of you had a couple of bad experiences out of the thousands of players available in DF, but there are just as many sensible players out there if not more. What annoys experienced players most is if you don't say a word and have no clue what you're doing. Most of the people I have come across are willing to take a couple of minutes to brief new players instead of wiping to bosses.

I've ran so many people through AK that were brand new and have done fine. The first week that I was a new 50 though it took me 7 attempts to FINALLY get a group that didn't leave immediately when I said I was new to the instance.

Many people aren't aware that you don't have to buy movies you can go to youtube and watch the good parts. you see the problem here?

It's a silly thing to tell people not to enjoy the story of immersion simply because people want to be impaitent, the game is ONLY a month old for crying out loud. Now everyone has to be masters and know everything about the game?

Imo all the rushers and impatient people are desperate to prove themselves to be the best, the irony is they are just proving themselves to be the worst at playing a game with other people.

this is why i've yet to do AK, people expect you to be over geared, and being a tank + new, has me worried that the elitist will just drop group.

I didn't fate my way to victory either, and consider myself well above the average on tanking, it's just getting that first run down and learning it

Hey, don't sweat it. Tanks have it the hardest. You have a damned right to be cut some slack on your first go. Hell, first few go's. If you're like me, I learn best by messing up the first time. I like breaking things. If you learn from your mistakes, you're infinitely better off. If you get harassed, you tell them to go fuck themselves--they can tank it themselves. lol. Seriously. ^^
