    Still getting lag. Cable modem hard wired into router, just pulled speed test of 30 down/7 up and still getting 5-10 second lag in duty finder server and 2-5 second in game server on Exodus. The server has many players complaining about lag both in duty finder instances and in regular game.

    This is not an ISP issue. This is a server side issue.

    I have the same issue and so does a few of my friends and FC members. Seems to come and go at the same time for us all, and we have different ISPs and live in different countries. Please look into this issue!

    In Sunken City right now and lag is so bad two different players have went link dead. TWO DIFFERENT people. Please fix the lag!

    Yay another lag thread! I'll gladly keep posting in these so they keep getting attention. So the other day I told my LS about my lag. To my shock, I got ganged up on and the 3-4 people talking to me all weren't having any of these lag problems and one even went as far as to basically blame me for my lag issues. She/he went on to say because I'm on the east coast NA, then that's why I'm getting lag and I should've picked a different server. Um.. 1. I'm legacy, so limitations there, and 2. I like Balmung. Wtf? Don't you just love people? It tickles me when people just assume because they aren't having the issue then it's not an issue. -_- I've yet to try chimera again because of all the lag the party and I were getting during the fight - we never beat it due to lag.

    Just had to kill hardmode titan while getting freeze lag constantly for my WHM's relic, I killed him and I'm amazed I didn't die but seriously, FIX THIS ISSUE NOW SE.

    I'm now doing AK and getting even worse lag, I might not be able to play this game anymore at this rate. Half my LS, shout chat, and FC are all getting lag. It's a VERY widespread issue, FIX IT.

    I've wrote SE an e-mail about the issue after speaking twice to my ISP and doing about every possible thing software/hardware wise to erase the tiny possibility it is actually me.
    I provided them with all the data from my checks/rig and the data I got from my ISP Ziggo where I got a 160Mb/s cable connection and no they don't throttle.
    Now I got a polite letter back from them , though more than a week later.
    Also this is the first game I ever had these problems with.

    This is pretty much what I got from them.

    We have performed a North American and European Worlds Maintenance on September 19, and we hope the service has improved by now. If not, you may wish to review the general troubleshooting steps outlined in this email that should be of use if you are having difficulties with the initial game connection or are experiencing intermittent lag spikes.

    Confirm that your internet service provider (for example BT or Virgin) have not reported any issues with the game. Certain ISPs have been known to throttle the game?s connection as they view it as a peer-to-peer program.
    Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn requires the following router ports to function optimally:
    - TCP: 54992-54994, 55006-55007, 55021-55040
    Simply put they fixed the problem if you still got spikes it's your Rig/ISP.
    I don't buy it but well that's what they claim.

    Isn't it great that SE responds and promptly fixes game breaking issues? And the Gil spam is getting better, right?

    No really....should I sub when my thirty days expires??
    The map hacking gathering bots, and the gil spam are telling me this game has customer service/dev's that can't be bothered to assure quality, now I read this about end game, and the thread goes on and on with no dev response.
