Not really with that card, especially at the resolution you are trying to run it on. You could downgrade to a lcd monitor and maybe get a little more(say 2 or 3) fps, but even then its not going to be that much better.Hey guys thanks for your help.
Radunas/Freyar, yes it is a GT630 not a GTX .... but surely I would be able to get better than what I am getting even with that... or is that just wishful thinking on my behalf?
Radunas, thanks for your suggestions... My drivers were the first thing I thought of, so I made sure they were up to date - made no difference...I have never used MSI afterburner, do you think it would help?
Nice, i've been holding off on updating because of the issues some others have had with the driver, but if it works that nicely i definitely will now.
Sorry guys I'm no techy here so bare with me... If I were to upgrade my graphics card from a GT630 to a GTX630 would that fix my problem? and if so, how can I check if my motherboard will take that graphics card?
In my original post where I mention "forums with worse spec pcs" I actually didnt realise that the "X" in the model number made that much of a difference... I have only had the pc for a couple of months, so thought it would be a more "up to date" graphics card...
I got a significant improvement on my 670's.
I'd really not suggest you go out and try to find a different 630. You'd be better off checking if your power supply can handle PCI-E power (usually listed as PCI-E 6-pin connectors), and making sure you have enough space in your case. Look for something like a 550, 660, or 670 (though a 670 can be overkill...)
Awesome! very helpful link thanks Freyar
if you're going to upgrad I would upgrade atleast to the 650ti Boost, if you have a bit of room in your budget i would go ahead and pay the extra $130 and get the GTX 660. I personally would go with MSI, the reviews i've seen have said that the dual coolers on their cards keep them cooler than any of the others and the cards themselves are quite stable.
haha ok... lets try a different way... lets say I wanted to run the game on max settings with decent fps, plugged through my plasma... what card would you recommend?I got a significant improvement on my 670's.

Also, am I going the right way about this - meaning are the rest of my pc specs ok and all I should replace is my graphics card OR am I just wasting my time and should get a different pc?
It sounds by the way of the parts described, as well as the "12GB" of RAM which I've really only seen from big box stores like best buy. Also your APU processor. Is there a model number or can you tell us more about it? It is possible to upgrade big box PCs, it might just be a little non standard due to manufacturer standards, processes, and proprietary parts.
Ok, so I have opened up the PC and it is running a MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard (http://au.msi.com/product/mb/FM2-A75MA-E35.html) ... hope this helps... If you need more info please let me know.It sounds by the way of the parts described, as well as the "12GB" of RAM which I've really only seen from big box stores like best buy. Really appreciate the help by the way guys...
