Preferences are preferences, I'd rather get a steak from AJ's fine foods than food city (not saying amazon is food city here). Amazon works for you; And I said I couldn't speak to their RMA process, obviously it works well for them because they're still in business.

Personally, I've never had an issue with newegg and have no need to switch vendors. Saving a few bucks to get it from amazon won't make me say it's any better or any worse.

They're probably owned by the same conglomorate newscorp fox CBS company anyway

Tru, I'd be happy to offer help building your tower, recommend parts or whatever. Your description of not expensive, but upgradeable and still beasts games fits my agenda perfectly. Budget conscious gamer builds

tbqh, i don't thinkyou need to build a whole new computer. at the worst you might need a new case as well, but (and correct me if i'm wrong radunas), your current setup is fully capable of handling FFXIV as long as you just replace the video card and upgrade that power supply...omfg if you get your hands on a Liquid Nitrogen (yes THAT liquid nitrogen) cooler you can OC your processor to 8.2 GHz lol----> Here

Nah he doesn't need a new PC but I think he's saying, if he's going to spend around 3-400 for a PSU/vidya card upgrade, why not just build a new tower. Both are acceptable options, as the PSU and vidya can be moved to your new build that you can buy piece by piece when you have the funds.

Edit: also yes please liquid nitro my PC nao

I researched it a little, and it's apparently only feasible for stress testing and experimentation due to the rate at which the LN2 evaporates, that said the one system i looked at was only 192 and change, not counting the cost for the LN2.

And yah, thats actually what I'm doing for my build. Getting a Chaser MK1 case beginning of next month, then waiting for black friday/cybermonday to see about either a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB ssd, a Seagate Desktop 2TB sshd and 8 DDR3 Corsair Vengenace RAM or a gtx 670/770 whichever is cheaper. Then when my 3 pays with holiday pay comes in january I'll be picking up an Asus Maximus VI Formula MB, 4770k, a OCZ ZX 1000w PSU, and whatever is leftover from what i didnt get during black friday weekend.

AMD cpu is not the best option for playing games we all know that, but playing the game with nvidia GT card is pathethic, the card is really bad and cheap not to mention it only has 25GB bandwidth making it even more pathethic, im sorry to say but your relatively new PC is suited for paperwork not to play up to date games like final fantasy 14 :/

    now to help out :P
i dont know what kind of PSU you use but you should be fine with a proper 600W anyday, 750W for overkill but its not needed for a GT 630 card. to answer your other question. "can i upgrade to gtx630" -> no you cant assuming there is no gtx 630, the GT class ends with gt 640 and then the gtx starts. moving on, to run this game on max settings with the 65 inch screen you are definitely looking for a card with at least 3GB of video memory to handle such resolution. so you should be looking into cards like AMD hd 7950 and above or nvidia gtx 670 the 4GB versions of course and above but they are costy.
now if you want my honest advice on how to be safe and fit into budget HD 7970 is your best shoot for price/performance

ps: if you spent 1400 dolars on your pc, you got seriously ripped off, because that whole setup you have could easily fit under 400 dolars no joke, return the PC if you still can and build some ridiculous machine for your money.

Thanks Edeien, that really helps... but now I have another problem...

Radunas I managed to pick all the components I wanted through newegg, went to the checkout, only to then discover they dont post to Australia!! Parts are really expensive here locally compared to newegg prices, so does anyone know of a site which has decent priced parts that ship to Australia??

Really excited about putting this build together, so really hope there's a good online store out there that one of you guys know about...

As for the power supply I would use this PSU Calc to give you a general idea of how big of a PSU you will need

The resolution of a 65" HDTV, would still max at 1920x1080. You will want more memory in the card, especially since it is typically $50 or less over the cost of a reference card. The extra memory is akin to driving a Lexus as opposed to a toyota. My personal Favorite brand is EVGA, since it will cover you even if you were to botch an overclock and ruin your card.

On another note, having a larger power supply doesn't mean anything if it is not of quality. At the same time, not having enough power is an issue as well. Keep in mind you will be powering everything in your computer and over time you will lose efficiency of the power supply. A 1000W power supply will not be running at the same wattage a year from now. (1000W is overkill for your card)

So that you perfectly understand this. Go by the last 2 numbers of the card. From worse to best is lowest to highest. I don't care if it's a brand new 900 series the 930 would be a total POS and it would equal about a 540. You seriously need at the min a card with a 50 at the end. Lower then that isn't really suitable for gaming. The 650ti boost is a very good card for the money atm. If you're on a very low budget that's the one to get. Plus they just reduced the price a couple days ago again. Can be had for $129.00 US. I would not suggest anything less then that.

And that is what's nice about that psu calculator as it can also be set to factor in wattage loss over time.
