So many ideas have been given on how to assign roles to the players without destroying the current game mechanics of the armoury system. And SE said recently that they have a "Job system" being made as we speak, so I wanted to put my spin on a idea that many have suggested which is the title bonus system. Think of the Jobs more as subjobs rather than your main role.
Mission of the Job System
The mission of my job system is to extend the benefits of the freedom SE has given us. SE wanted us to create characters rather than being a certain role, But with all that freedom how can we be different from our teammates. While this system does offer benefits it will also offer Penalties.
How to Choice a role?
To pick a role you need to go to the job section in the UI, you shouldn't be able to switch jobs while in combat only out of combat to prevent players from switching into whatever fits best.
How to get Jobs (Roles)?
When you first start the only Job available would be the freelancer which is currently the system we have now with no bonuses. Afterwards at Physical Level 20 you will be able to do the first Limit Break Quest to unlock the first group of jobs. Then from there every 10 Physical Levels you will be able to complete new Limit Break Quests to unlock more jobs Similar to how FF3 works. Now you may be asking why did I choice Physical Level rather than rank, well its plain simple because this game is meant to offer people a way to make characters which involves more Horizontal leveling than just one class.
