Role Identifier system (Job system Idea)

So many ideas have been given on how to assign roles to the players without destroying the current game mechanics of the armoury system. And SE said recently that they have a "Job system" being made as we speak, so I wanted to put my spin on a idea that many have suggested which is the title bonus system. Think of the Jobs more as subjobs rather than your main role.

    Mission of the Job System
The mission of my job system is to extend the benefits of the freedom SE has given us. SE wanted us to create characters rather than being a certain role, But with all that freedom how can we be different from our teammates. While this system does offer benefits it will also offer Penalties.

    How to Choice a role?
To pick a role you need to go to the job section in the UI, you shouldn't be able to switch jobs while in combat only out of combat to prevent players from switching into whatever fits best.

    How to get Jobs (Roles)?
When you first start the only Job available would be the freelancer which is currently the system we have now with no bonuses. Afterwards at Physical Level 20 you will be able to do the first Limit Break Quest to unlock the first group of jobs. Then from there every 10 Physical Levels you will be able to complete new Limit Break Quests to unlock more jobs Similar to how FF3 works. Now you may be asking why did I choice Physical Level rather than rank, well its plain simple because this game is meant to offer people a way to make characters which involves more Horizontal leveling than just one class.

    Jobs (Roles) + Bonuses
    Level1
    -Freelancer:None (Basic)

    Level20
-White mage:25% Bonus in Healing skills but a 10% decrease in Offensive magic.
-Black mage:25% Bonus in Offensive magic but a 10% decrease in Healing magic.
-Green mage:25% Bonus in Defensive magic but a 10% decrease in Crippling magic.
-Red mage:25% Bonus in Crippling magic but a 10% decrease in Defensive magic.
-Knight:25% Bonus in Defensive skills but a 10% decrease in Offensive skills.
-Barbarian:25% Bonus in Offensive skills but a 10% decrease in Defensive skills.

    Level30
-Soilder:10% Bonus in Physical Skills but 15% decrease in MP regen.
-Scholar:10% Bonus in magic but 15% decrease in TP gain.

    Level40
-Paladin:20% bonus Healing + Defensive magic & skills but 50% decrease in Damage.
-Dark Knight:20% bonus Crippling + Offensive magic & skills but 50% decrease in Defense.

    Level50
-Monk:20% bonus to HP & Healing Skills done on you but 50% decrease in your magic
-Geomancer:20% bonus to skills & magic depending on current weather.
-Time mage:20% decrease on Recast of skills & magic.
-Magic Knight:20% increase in magic when a Discipline of War or 20% increase in combat when a Discipline of magic.

I like the general idea behind this. My favorite thing about FFXIV is the horizontal growth. If they implemented this system, I think that xp gain should be lowered to match sp gain.

I like the system for how you gain the jobs, but I think jobs should be implemented differently.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

kinda hefty on the penalties??? good idea minus the penalties. I would ease them up as this is a video game. PLus a few "jobs" do not promote the cross class bilities (really a ton of thread about discouraging cross class abilities)

These percentages, on a much smaller scale were what I was trying to get across in carpe's thread. However the leveling through physical level I can't get on board with. I'm not knocking your idea, I'm just a traditionalist and would prefer the jobs be unlocked in a ff:t style. Have you looked at some of the other idea's on job/class customization and implementation? A perfect blend of this idea plus a few others would be great.

I like a lot of what you have here, especially the bonuses and the penalties, but question...why not have it where the initial specialist we have now be able to unlock these jobs at level 30 and be able to unlock all of them instead of waiting for different levels.
