Extreme lack of quests

I can see having to rely on the fate grind to level alternate battle classes, but you've failed to provided enough quests to get even one to 50. Why?

Fate/dungeon grinding should not be the leveling path. As it presently stands, the game seems to largely end at about 35, and you're just screwing with us to, in large portion, painfully grind out the last 15 levels if we want to see the end of the main story.

Sounds to me like you quested and only quested. This is your problem.

The game was designed so that you dip into a little bit of everything to level up. When I was leveling my first class to 50, I did the following in no particular order:

1. Quest
2. If a FATE popped up nearby, I'll put my questing on hold to participate in the FATE for quick, easy exp.
3. Hunting Log
4. Every 5 levels, I gathered some friends and knocked out some Guildhests.
5. Do a couple dungeons every level to keep up on your gear and it also provides good exp assuming your group is good. If you're a DPS, just queue up for a dungeon and quest while you wait.

If you cycle through those 5 things (depending on what you feel like doing at the time), then you won't run out of quests. This is Final Fantasy, not World of Warcraft. You have many options to level.

Your issue is pretty weird... I think that you are not able to find where the quest are because you must have questions till lvl 50. I have my bard lvl 50 and have a lot of side quest availables

"Alot" is the wrong word to describe the number of quests between 35-49. If there where alot of sidequests you would not need to do any other content to reach cap. Some like this and some don't. The problem here is that the lack hurts those that want them more than what plenty of sidequest would hurt those who do not want them as they do not need to do most sidequests to unlock the whole game.

I kinda like this idea. I just hope with this new update they add alot of quests. I don't want them to be the same ones but just add soe. You know what really pissed me off. Is when they added like 15 quests after you reached level 50 and beat the game um what's the point you can't get exp that was the dumbest thing I ever seen. I can't do fates I'm on ps3 its limited for me. I just want more quests. Like make quests for rare items stuff like that or Halloween add Halloween quests or just some ideas. Also it's so boring after fifty I don't wanna start a new character since there is no more quests and I can't fate grind. And doing cast rum over and over is so damn boring. I was so bored I got weaver to level fifty we need more please. I want to do another class.

I couldn't agree more about there not being enough dungeons. Heck, there isn't enough content as a whole. Sure SE will has said that they will put out more, but that said I have to wonder. Will it be enough ? My wife and I started playing around the same time, and the lack of fun content after level 35 deterred her from playing. She has now canceled her subscription, and I can't blame her. After seeing the endgame community through me, it becomes extremely discouraging. If an Influx of new content doesn't show up in the next few updates, i will follow my wife's example and split. My old MMORPG ; DDO had content added roughly every month. And they are owned by Warner Brothers, I know Square-Enix is every bit as wealthy as Warner Bros., so that much new content is a given.

That stopped working for me around level 45. After that point I find you have basically no quests and you have to grind fates and dungeons. I have always hit up every single fate I could and generally run each dungeon four or five times.

Honestly once you get your first lv 50 you have very little else to do to level up other classes. I have literally no more quests to do.

I got to lvl 47 without grinding any of dungeons or fate, as long as you follow the story quests and the side quests where the story takes you, you should not have problems to lvl your character

I know right. I already had Paladin to Lv.50 from version 1, so i decided to do warrior through the story. After I hit Lv.50 Warrior I now have no quests to do period. With my other classes i suppose I'll be FATE/Dungeon grinding...Which with the amount of content will be mind numbing.

bottom line is. Yosh said he wanted FFXIV to be a theme park.
seems we only have about 4 rides to get to cap.
once you get 1 class to cap your left with only 3 rides.
people are going to be very disappointed with the amount of quest to do
on second or even 3 class.
this game just needs more content for everyone. leveling and once you reach cap.
hopefully theyll add more with patches.

i know every mmo doesnt start out with much, but if they dont add stuff soon.
theyll lose players.

they did say something about beastmen stronghold dailys in the future
thats a good sign.
