Billing Question (Having a character on JP server)

I recently made a character on a JP server, for when US is down. My roommate is concerned that I will get billed twice for the JP character. Is this true?

The servers are mainly designated JP/NA/EU due to their geographic location. It doesn't matter which you play on. Even the most basic subscription plan allows one character on up to 8 servers.

So the answer is no, you won't be charged extra.

It depends on what pricing structure you chose. The cheapest one only allows you a single character. Others allow multiple characters. You probably have a plan that includes multiple characters since you were able to create the second one.

1 character per world, 8 worlds total - $9.99 USD

8 characters per world, 40 worlds total - $13.99/9.99(legacy) USD

So there is no additional charges unless you have more than 1 character on any given world or more than 8 worlds occupied by a character.
