Quest: Ye of Little Faith
For at least the past two days, and by some accounts for up to four days, this NPC has been non-responsive. Nobody on the server can progress past the Astidien character in the main story quest line, because the Ye of Little Faith quest cannot be completed.
I have opened three tickets on this, and have received no replies. I have posted to Lodestone, with no reply from SE.
There are other servers starting to manifest bugged NPCs in the Whitebrim Front zone, and those server story lines are also grinding to a halt, as has happened on Gilgamesh.
SE is not replying nor do they appear to be taking any action. This is unsatisfactory. I would encourage people to keep opening in-game tickets for bug reports. Some of the threads on the topic on Lodestone are being locked, but with no comment from SE. This is also unsatisfactory. As this error continues to cascade into a complete failure for players who have not yet passed this point in the game, I'd suggest people continue to open Lodestone posts about this. Because everyone is halted by the flaw in SEs software, we can expect an overload of people in this zone as soon as it's repaired, thus bringing about even more server problems, lag and potential crashes.
If this is an example of the quality of customer support that we can expect to receive from SE, it certainly brings into question the marketability of their product, and whether or not people are going to pay a monthly subscription for a game with a story that cannot be played. This is not some minor problem with XP or GC Seal award, or a glitchy side-quest that you can abandon and then reacquire as a work-around. This is a complete collapse of the ability to play the FF XIV ARR story line - an absolute shutdown for anyone now reaching that point in the story at this time.
SE, please take action to at least acknowledge the problem (as you have with other glitches that you were fixing), and give us a time/date for the maintenance or repair point. Continued silence and lack of actions does nothing but demonstrate that you'll take our money without hesitation, and the not address defects in your product, thus ruining the experience for the players.
