Software Token guide for those w/o Android/iPhone

Follow this guide to setup a "Virtual" Android phone. (go ahead and Skip teh ADB half is this purpose is Just for running the token.)

for the list of devices, select "Galaxy Nexus 4.1.1 with Google apps" so it has access to to google play. from there register/link google account grab token app and secure yourself.

every single person who's had thier account stolen Does not have a Security token. you all want to see rmt gill spammers stop? it wont stop em but the ammount of accounts used to spam will lessen when they have none to steal.

In theory a standard Android SDK virtual device should work, just give it internet access (for the initial setup), and get someone to upload the apk, then use adb install to install the app to the virtual device (not tested and not 100%)

hate for a doublepost but just another bump. as this is a good idea to keep more peopel away from loosing thier accounts to these RMT arseholes that are bruteforcing account passwords.

I tend to login from multiple places (but not from insecure places) and this locks your logins to a single PC, so it's not really a solution for me. :/

Understandable, for you the cheapest sollution would then be to get a hardware token.
They aren't that expensive, and in my personal humble opinion really worth the investment as they usually last longer than the average smartphone.
