Yes, the word whine does mean to protest in a childish way or fashion, that's why I stated, I don't quite see how asking a question is whining, I simply put out what I've been noticing and asked the question!~ Now I understand it I were to say something like, " STOP BASHING US Y.Y LEAVE US ALONE!" That would be whining.
