Allow me to elaborate *ahem* It's not that Americans don't care - it's just the programming is primarily corporate consumer driven bias/culture. This is in fact a mask which when one is born wears automatically during the citizenship process, (selling of flesh for later labor). Being unable to awaken from such programming and looking past the monetary imbedded greed is an inherit problem. And of course ignoring nature and the natural world for material gain just doesn't help the outlook of a society as a whole, especially if all you exist for is iphone/pad, pop culture etc. With current trends in a progressing profit based society we see the loss of humanity for traditional expected routines and useless material marketing which have replaced a meaningful existence.
Haters gonna hate.
I don't know if we're any worse than any other country or not but being American myself, hell ya we're rude and self centered when generalized. Everyone generalizes, it's not country specific or group specific. I just had someone in another thread generalize me while arguing against me generalizing.
Everyone has good and bad in them and depending on anyone's personal experience they'll see either the good or the bad. The rest of the world thinks Americans are rude, but look at them...Most of my friends are asian(I'm white) and as a generalization asians are racist as hell. So don't let it bother you. No one is perfect.
The same reason product reviews are generally biased. People will go out of their way to broadcast their discontent with a product or service, but are much less likely to do so for an "acceptable" or "good" experience. Only when said service or product is exceptional do you generally see positive reviews.
Well, the US is huge compared to some of the other countries that play this game. It's really just a numbers game why I think people generalize citizens of the US as negative. For every one jerk they have we have twenty, for every one nice person they have we have fifteen. Personally I think it's funny how others jump to the conclusions of where people are from and assuming that only the bad comments are citizens of the US. Well funny as in sad funny.
