    Party members shouldn't be removed from the party when they disconnect in the first place.

    This is the proper solution to the problem. The development team did not state that they would not try and implement the above solution. They stated that they won't implement a solution adding party members while in combat.

    All is not lost, fellow adventures. Please try and calm down.

    I agree with this statement. DCing seems to be the real issue and not being able to get back into the game right away.

    Right.

    The cause of the pain is that when you DC you are dropped from party. If the Development Team addresses that, there is no need for further unbalancing "fixes".

    However the case, it would also be nice if they can stabilize the connections to reduce the number of DC's to begin with, but that may be a much more time consuming problem to solve.
