This is also proof that the way it's functioning is NOT by design at all. If they didn't code pet script to recognize a player currently in the raise animation CANNOT be healed/cured/etc, it's because this is unintended, one way or another. What really amuses me about the heal-lockout.. is when I raise someone, my Fairy goes spastic trying to cast cure on them.. but has the same problem I do - and ends up healing herself by accident. This is actually kind of bad though more than it is amusing, because she's just wasting time and taking healing priority on a target she can't do anything about, rather than heal someone alive nearby her that could potentially use it.
Oh come off it, the pet AI is sketchy at best. They run into mobs, forget to heal stuff, autocast things are terrible times.
This is not an AI thing, however. It's a flag, to know when a spell is effective or not. It knows when it's a good idea to cure someone of poison, because the person is poisoned. It knows when it's a good idea to heal someone, because they are damaged. If not, the pet would just be randomly spamming cures and heals for no reason at all.
The pet AI is super basic, all they do is heal when people are missing health and keep their buffs on cooldown in combat. This is not an AI thing, however. Most people manually control their faeries due to how badly SE implemented pets, it's a stretch to say that you should be able to heal people when raised because pets attempt to.
If Healer/bard limit break 3 can pull everyone up and heal them to full then it's clear the window of being unhealable is intentional. All healers get access to swiftcast to instantly res people and summoners can do raise in combat whenever they feel like it, there has to be harsh penalties associated with bringing people back into the fight.
You are forced to think when accepting a raise and that's the way it should stay.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen a Fairy try to MPK a group by healing the tank the second the tank pulls. XD I'm not sure how Fairy AI works since I haven't touched scholar. I'm not sure if there's a way to make the fairy 'passive' or not like there is with smn.
You dont know the fairies man.. I am telling you because I am a SCH facing these "Murder Faries".
They actually got these small fairy stiletto hidden on them. During my CM and AK runs I come across them overcuring the tanks so they can tank the mobs for a cheap thrill or flying in front of a Garlean guard and stabbing him in the eyes!
They seem to dance around heavy fighting so the blood actually gets onto them! You should see their faces man...
I dare not tell them off for fear they might murder me in my sleep. If your PT SCH's fairy aggro mobs, don't blame him/her. PRAY FOR US!![]()

Not gonna lie. I'm legitimately afraid of the fairies. Maybe this is why I haven't unlocked scholar. >_>;; If I heal, it's on WHM. XDYou dont know the fairies man.. I am telling you because I am a SCH facing this "Murder Faries".
