I have ran the benchmark and it runs decently well with high laptop settings...around 4000. I have the original FFXIV for PC so already used the link that you provided to start the initial process, which was fine, then had the aforementioned error.

As far as the error code and what not... I don't get a code unless you are referring to the jibberish that I see when looking under the events log. And it is a 3 year old alienware laptop with windows 7 4gig of RAM and the graphics card is a Nvidia Geforce GT 335m.

I play this game all the time on my desktop and on my ps3, just would have been nice to play it when I'm away from my desktop at a friend's house or something.
