BLM Class Quest Bugged. Can't activate item. Keep getting interrupted.

Party or Solo: Solo.

NPC Name: NONE, however object in particular is Planar Fissure

Monster Name: NONE

In-Game Time: Around 3:30 pm, GMT +1

Steps: Accept quest, do things as instructed. Other players helped me kill mobs spawned by the Planar Fissure at the end of the quest. It's possible that because they dealt more damage overall that it didn't register as my kill and therefore bugged the quest?

I left click Planar Fissure to select it, then I use Quest Item Spoken Blood and during the activation time, I get interrupted, making the quest un-doable. I cannot abandon this quest either so I can't retry it without help.
The quest is: The Blood Must Flow. Black Mage Job Quest, level 45.
