If I didn't read the names of the posters I'd almost assume it was the same heavy darklight armor-wearing poster spamming page 3 of this thread!

I just won't buy the Darklight chest. I appreciate it's slightly gimping my tank until I get something better, but I *hate* that chest+helm. Will save my Myth for the AF2 chest next week.
As an aside, I also hate that DPS/healers can upgrade every piece independently, and tanking gear is often boots+legs and chest+helm. It's quicker for DPS players at 50 to start replacing pieces... which makes no sense when there is a shortage of tanks.
Obviously they should make another tank set where every single tank... ever, can wear the exact same thing, no flaw in your thinking at all.
Its called gear swaps you fool and you are a little late to fight for it now.
I'm really not sure why Squeenix doesn't like gear customization and variety.
For what it's worth the Darklight cowl is ugly as shit too.
I like it on my character.

Why not just turn off the head gear display?
Cool your passions oh burning Ifrit.
I never got the darklight armor. Didn't know it was connected...which honestly seems like a major oversight in basic functional armor design.
The entire point of the feature was to prevent things like this, so it does seem pretty stupid to have your endgame gear unable to use it. And for that matter, what excuse did they have for not being able to lower cowls again? Because if it's clipping, they have a mountain of that already.
