Incorrect NPC dialog: local leves NPC

Yo go to a new movie rental place and ask, "how many movies can I rent out" He will reply " you can only rent out three movies AT A TIME" This doesn't always mean you rent three come back rent three more.

Not always dude. It is called a "short form" phrase. Pretty much a vague response to get the point across. Honestly it is correctly stating it. Npc need to give vague responces because it can't give individule info per person.
Again at a time don't alwaus mean "right away". It is also saying per occurance. I can give more examples.

Like humans generally give birth to 1 child at a time.
Does this mean, we give birth non stop? bo it doesn't. But that every time we do get pregnet abd have children we normaly have 1.

Phrases always have more then 1 meaning.
Like when you say, i'm going to run over to the store and grab milk.
Are you literally running down to the store? not always.

Again this is just a mis understanding about taking the term to literaly. And if you really need info /clock tells you leve reset and it is posted under the lodestone.

If the npc said for every 36 hours people would get confused. They would go is that 36 hours aftwer i do my levequest? or 36 hours n general. Also it would be too much text and harder to translate.

the full term would be "for 36 hours (earth time)". << too much text
then "at a time"

"Giving birth to 1 child at a time" and "renting 3 movies at a time" are the same meaning.

They imply that once you are done with the 1 child or the 3 movies, you can have 1 or 3 more. Same with leves.

Leves apparently have a gestation period of up to 36 hours, but no one tells you this so it would be safe to assume based on the phrasing that you could turn in 8 leves and pick up more. Similar to how you can only have 16 Quests active "at a time" but once you finish one, you can start another one. No need to wait any amount of time.

You can just accept that you and the NPC are both inaccurate. This is the last time I'll say so.

As for the "gaol" part, that is a strange and British way of spelling "jail." Like the rest of the game, people in Eorzea are overly British. Your personal past with Oscar Wilde should not affect the entire game.

As I said, once you know about the 36 hours your brain "auto-corrects" the statement to mean what it intends to mean, but if you don't know about the 36 hours (whoever that may be) it's misleading.

no its not. Play other mmo npc use VAGUE terms. What you guys want will take up too much text and cause too much confusion.
So VAGUE responces are what they do. Not the devs fault you took it to literaly.

no because I actually graduated high school with pretty good grades and I play too many games. Npc never gave exact info. And if they did people would get confused.

Also you are not grasping the full point to what I said.
