
First off since i don't experience those problems you mentioned, how do you know its not your ISP? Any proof?I wont be subbing at least just yet and the few RL people I know wont either but knowing why would be very helpful to your support & dev team.
We are all experiencing the 90K freeze, disconnects since the last maint. period and nothing is being acknowledged beyond laying blame on our ISP (pst...it's not our ISP)
I digress, we LOVE the game and want to be sure bean counters know the game is loved but that support needs the love 1mil unique loggins at $7.99-$12.99/month demand.
With no exit survey, perception is left to it's own devices and nothing is ever gleaned of any significant help.
But I agree an "exit survey" maybe a nice idea.
Zero problems from Phase2-until recent 12hr maint.
My ISP does not/Has not classified FFXIV ARR under any bandwidth shapping policy (I had to make a lot of calls to talk to someone at Comcast Corporation read: not level1 tech support CSR)
150MB connection (oh yeah, 25mb Up) so speed is not the concern. No dropped packets, no modem signal strength issues. Router or direct. It's not my AV
There's simply not enough consistency in the 90K from action delay/dungeon/open world/etc to be shapping. I guarantee 90K in instances, never in open world.
It's something to do with the most recent maint. and honestly, blamming ISP's should be THEIR job to remmediate because I don't think you or I or anyone, calling their respective ISP is going to do anything and SE leaving it to that is going to go nowhere fast. I KNOW people to contact at my ISP, on the corporate level and I'm not getting anything changed if it is them. You know that, SE know that and that's why I'm going to see how this plays out because that's just not going to fix anything.
Again, I digress. Not my ISP and if SE thinks its ISP's from Chicago to Thailand, then they better start calling up ISP's and working on getting it "Squared" (lol) away.
