Problem With Market Boards

I'm finding the only way to get items to sell is to sell them one at a time. Since I only have 40 retainer slots to sell with, I can only sell 40 out of my stack of 99.

this does not help to level my mining class either. I have a ton of ore that needs to sell before I can mine more because I don't have room selling them one at a time.

^ this is so not true. I sell on the market all the time and buy as well. I see stacks of 99's all the time! Also, your retainer has 175 slots per retainer, not 40. Of course, I am on the PS3, so maybe the PC is different in regard to retainer slots.

Or are you specifically referring to the amount of "slots" that you can use to "Sell" items?

id pay an extra 15 dollars a month for 3 extra retainer slots. Same with me, i am a level 28 miner and a level 50 fisher. I have alot of extra, most of it is useless or not worth selling. I am saving it for the crafting stuff.

I am almost at the point of buying another account so i can have extra retainer space... But i can not make more character's on my server. I know i can switch servers. But i have made alot of friends and i LOVE my free company. So for now i'll suffer.

The day they allow people to buy retainers in that way, they may as well get a full-fledged Item mall, because they already crossed the point of no return by then.

Have you tried splitting a stack of 99 up into stacks of 10 (and 1 stack of 9, I can do math) and selling them that way? 1 is often not enough when leveling up a crafting class, but 99 is often too much.

Yeah, I always split my stacks up before posting them up for sale, stacks of 10 on average. They tend to sell pretty quickly out of all the things I post, which says something (I price in the average so it's not the pricing). The only time posting just 1 is a good idea is when it's the only idea, like with equipment and special items as the Wanderer's loot. There are times I do post whole stacks of 99, but it's usually things like pigment or logs where it's not the end product or doesn't craft evenly, but that's rare.

There's no demand for stuff in the market. Plus we are having a recession basically. People don't have money to spend and that's part of the problem. Everything has to be sold on the cheap, even at a lost because there's new gil coming into the hand of the player base. Even in RL, new money is generated on a daily basis because it is needed to have a healthy economy.
