So where are the dungeon story cutscenes?

I went to Sastasha for the first time today and skipped the CSes 'cos I've heard of jerks ranting about 'noobs' watching them, and decided to watch them later ...

I expected them to be in the Main Scenario Quests section of The Unending Journey but they're not.

WTF?

Major bummer, especially given this is the only other option than put up with the jerks' shouting.

In 1.0 there was a section for dungeon intros and they were in there. Admittedly I haven't looked at the journal since playing ARR so I don't know how it's categorized currently.

You could always run it again. It'll only be 30 mins of your life gone.

tbh i dont really know, i havent tried to watch them in the motel room

They won't appear until you complete the quest, including hand in. With the Satasha chain that may just be until you've done all 3 dungeons, I'm not sure, I haven't checked. The in-dungeon parts will come under "duty". There aren't any actual story scenes within satasha though, just boss appearance and the like.

That said, ignore those demanding you skip. No one should have to, and no one needs to.

You can't find them because there are none. The first CS to appear inside a dungeon will be in Toto-rak before the last boss.

If you can not find cut scenes in the story section, they will likely be in the Duty catagory in your inn.

Because there aren't jerks in this game (usually tanks) who bail if a 'noob' 'wastes time' watching CSes.

In any case, as a Healer I like to spend a moment or two getting ready, especially as 'gather for Protect' seems an instruction non-FFXI players don't seem to comprehend.

Cheers, I didn't notice a 'Duty' category but maybe I didn't look hard enough, my Main Story entries still end with the level 15 'airship' sequence.

You don't have to worry about any cut-scenes until at least Toto Rak, after that there isn't many either.

What people talk about is especially the last dungeon The Praetorium which has 30 minutes worth of cut scenes between and during fights.

Totally forgot about Ifrit, but the other ones you're talking about are just short 20 second or so intros to the dungeon, a 10 second intro before the final boss, and a 10 second victory cheer after the final boss is down that is identical in every dungeon. You see all of those every time you do any dungeon, and no one will complain about watching those short ones.

The first real cut-scenes in normal dungeons is before the last boss in Toto-rak and I believe the next one is in Stone Vigil. There are cut-scenes for story primals in between, of course.
