Depends on what you are talking about.

Either Behest which is a group event every 30mins on the dot. Sorta a free guild leve.

Leve partys involve the cards and atherite crystals, grouping in that almost triples your sp/kill if you have other with the same leve. Those refresh every 36hrs.

Edit: Behest is :00 and :30 in RL time.

In game, you can type /clock into the chat log, and it will tell you how long until the next leve reset, the next behest, and the next time you earn anima.

To do behest, a battlewarden pops at the camp. He'll start shouting about the threats to Eorzea and stuff. Go click on him and accept his quest. Then join a party with everyone else that's doing it.

Beginner's tip for behest -- Only hit the red mobs. If you hit the yellow mobs, you won't get SP for them, and when they do turn red, everyone will get less SP.

The catch with behest is that it only allows 8 people in per run. So you have to be quick when the battlewarden pops if you're in one of the busy camps. On the other hand, it also scales to the number of players involved, so there's no reason not to try and run one even if there aren't seven other people around.

I just wanted to emphasize and expand on this because many players don't know how this works.

When you kill a mob, you are only awarded SP for the proportion of HP that it had left when you claimed it (when its name turned red). You get no SP for mobs killed that are not claimed. If an aggressive mob damages itself on your Shock Spikes buff before you claim it by attacking it, you'll get slightly reduced SP. This is why some people don't use Shock Spikes, although it's small enough that I still use it. If you nearly kill a mob before actually claiming it you'll get about 30% of the full SP, perhaps not even that much. You can test this on some weak mobs if you want specific numbers. This is why it's often a good idea to use a dedicated puller during behests and keep everyone else outside of the area where mobs spawn.

And for the love of all that's holy remember that piercing shot hits the thing you target and EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN YOU AND IT. I cannot count the number of times archers have pulled aggro from a non-behest mob because they decided to fire off that particular ability without checking if their firing path was clear....
