Ever increasing lag

Are you actually outside the red zone when it disappears and NOT when the ability lands? Ive noticed that in XIV if your inside the red zone before it disappears, regardless of whether you move out before the ability is cast (titans landslide is a good example) you will be hit.

Also, where are you checking your latency?
