Probably should fix this...Linkshell Leader Deleted

This was posted in technical support. I figured I'd end up posting in both categories, but after the first post it was immediately suggested I post here.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, correct me if I'm wrong and there's already a way to remedy this. But our linkshell's creator has been deleted, leaving us with a linkshell with no control. No one can invite, it can not be disbanded, and no one can be kicked. I'm sure I'll get many comments in regards to simply making a new shell. But we're kind of attached to this ones name. So, It would be nice if at some point you made linkshells auto-repick a leader if the creator leaves. This just seems kind of like a hole in the system that's easily overlooked.

There is also the situation to where if a character is deleted but still had a pearl to the linkshell they still appear on your linkshells list.

    Greetings, Sushirom!
Thank you for posting your concerns about being unable to delete a linkshell if the leader's character is deleted. In order to make sure that we have enough information, it would be best if you could provide specific details about the linkshell that was involved, like the name of both the leader and the linkshell, how many members were in the linkshell, etc. It would also be very helpful if you could provide as much information as you can in the following form:

I'll have to add ISP information when I'm home. I'm at work right now.

    Thread Title:
Unable to disband/edit/promote within a linkshell after a leader has quit/been deleted.

    Platform:
    Windows 7 Ultimate: 64bit

    ISP:
Name of ISP you use to connect to the Internet.

    Type of Internet Connection:
Specify the type of connection. (dial-up, DSL, CATV, Optic Fiber, Other)

    Internet Connection Speed:
Specify the speed of internet connection. (Example: 768Kbit/s, 5Mbit/s)

    Date & Time:
    May 5, 2011 ( 8:00PM EST)

    Frequency:
State how frequently the issue occurs. Please select from the following.
3.Once (Did not reproduce) (But according to research is potentially indefinite since this is
simply what happens when a leader is delted.)

    Character Name:
    (My Character) : Kharika Irekei
    (Fellow Player) : Rofl Mywaffles
    (Delted Master) : Inhahe Carbuncle

    Race:

    In order~

    Miqo'te
    Lalafell M
    Hyur M

    World:
    Mysidia

    Steps:
-A few months ago, the character with our linkshell lead pearl was deleted.
-In an attempt to breath new life into it, we checked with the only remaining "leader" and found we couldn't disband
or edit the linkshell because he wasn't the creating master.
-We had him retire to see if it would reset a leader to someone else.
-Linkshell is no longer usable. No way to invite members, kick members, edit crest, etc...

    Greetings Sushirom!

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Unfortunately under the current design, only the linkshell leader has the ability to perform the actions that you described having trouble with. We can certainly understand how this would be an inconvenience, so you may want to leave feedback about possibly changing this system in the future. You can do so at the Square Enix Support Center at http://support.na.square-enix.com under "Final Fantasy XIV" > "Contact" > "Suggestions and Feedback." In the meantime, this is currently working as designed. The best course of action in this case would be to remake the linkshell with a new leader. Thank you for your patience, and best wishes to you!
