ffxiv not loading need help

Having the same problem
I am having the same problem, the only difference is I have been playing ffxiv since beta and have not had a problem, I also successfully played the game last on May 1st and all of a sudden I cant play.

The system alows me to login and click play but when it tries to go into the screen to select characters it automatically give me a error of
"Final Fantacy has stopped working windows is checking for a solution"

the windows tries to find a solution to the problem and of course does not find one and I get another messege
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

What steps have you taken to try to resolve this issue? Can you think back to earlier in the week and remember any setting on your computer that you may have changed?

Make sure your FFXIV game resolution matches your actual screen resolution

Try playing in both fullscreen and windowed mode

Try lowering your FFXIV graphics settings

Uninstall your video drivers, run driversweeper, then install the latest driver package from Nvidia.

Since you're walking the line of minimum required specifications for the game (mainly the video card), it's actually fairly common for an FFXIV update to result in this problem.. I've seen it before. That's not your fault, but it's something to keep in mind.
